The 6th Annual Yamaguchi Gakugei University High School English Speech Competition was held on Sunday, November 17, 2024, on campus in Room A400.

The participants came from high schools throughout Yamaguchi Prefecture and various other prefectures. They all appeared a bit nervous at first, but when it came to their turn to speak, they all seemed to transform into seasoned professionals as they skillfully gave their wonderfully written speeches to the large audience before them. Their performances went far beyond the simple delivery of content, as they displayed hours of practice in the tones of their voices, facial expressions, gestures, and the sheer passion they portrayed in the moment.
